Installation of SAP NW 701 trial fails on 64 bit windows

I try to install the new trial on 64 bit windows. but it fails in phase 8 "Install database server software".

The sdbinst Message detail shows, that it tries to use i386 installation for max db.

In the folder where i find maxdb_i386 installation i find also an maxdb_x64 installation. Can I tell sapinst that it has to take 64 installtion? Any other ideas?

Hi,

I also have the same problem,

It is not mentioned anywhere about the 32Bit / 64 bit requirement in the sytem.

is there any other alternative, i am also struck up in the Step 8.

Any Positive responses is highly appreciated.

The alternative would be to install NW within a virtual machine.

Best wishes,
