MIGO posting date

Hi ,

I have made a good receipt for a purchase order number. I saw that, posting date differs from creating date.

Posting date is 26.11.2010 and creation date is 25.11.2010.

Why? What means posting date?

For making SD deliveries (goods issue), which GR criteria is essential: posting date or creation date? In my case, i could create goods issue only in 26.11 ?

Thanx in advance.

Posting date take priority over creation date. Normally GR posting date should be current date and no back date or forward date entries should be allowed.

the creation date is the date you actually performed the posting.

In the SD delivery is the goods issue date mentioned in tab "goods movement". There you will find a planned GI date and a actual GI date. if the actual GI date is not specified from the user, then SAP takes the current date for the movement, otherwise the posting date is the date that is entered in actual goods issue date.
