Hi Laura,

in CK40N mark the line "structure explosion" tick F1 and then again "structure explosion" to get some additional info.

You can skip structure explosion within a costing run in some special cases for example if you are re-running the costing itself more than once (because of missing activity rates, changed raw material prices...) but if the quantity structure of your costing run has changed (additional material numbers should be selected,...) you have to do the structure explosion again.

Hi Laura ,

In this step of BOM Explosion you explode the BOMs for the materials that you selected in the selection step.A BOM explosion is only then necessary if the materials selection is incomplete, such as finished goods or certain material types only.

You can skip the BOM explosion if, for example, you select

1. all the materials in the plant without stock transfers from other plants

2. all the materials in all the plants

This means that , if you have finished goods .. made up of semi-finished goods , BOM explosion also checks the BOM of semi-finished goods and cost it.. if in selection parameters only finished goods is selected..

If all materials ( finished and semi-finished incl Raw Materials ) are selected.. you can ignore structure explosion.

Hope it clarifies,

Regards
