Calculate Item Cost for Group of Warehouses?

Dear Experts,

Is it possible to have the following result?

There are 3 Warehouse belongs to Singapore, for example:-

WarehouseA1

WarehouseA2

WarehouseA3

There are 3 Warehouse belongs to Malaysia, for example:-

WarehouseB1

WarehouseB2

WarehouseB3

Can i have moving average cost for 3 Singapore Warehouses and another moving average cost for 3 Malaysia Warehouses?

Hi Lay Chin,

Are we talking about knowing the Moving Average Price of Items based on a selected Warehouses? For that you can use the Inventory Valuation Report and find the required details based on selected Warehouses.

Yes. The database is configured as Manage Item Cost Per Warehouse = Yes and Valuation Method = Moving Average.

I try Inventory Valuation Report but it's not working because the Valuation Method is already set as Moving Average, the system prompts the following error message.

Value of item cannot be calculated with the same valuation method selected for the item; generate the Inventory Audit Report. [Message 901-4]

The customer have 6 warehouses in total, they want moving average cost for 3 Singapore warehouses and moving average cost for 3 malaysia warehouses.

Hi Lay Chin,

It is not possible to use Moving average cost for group of warehouses.

Either each warehouse wise or itemwise only possible.

If you want in report, then you can create your own query based report based on OINM table.

But quering OINM table requires more resources, if your data voulme is less then you can use that too.

Are you referring to managing item price by warehouse? Have you tried this in SAP B1:

Administration>System Initialization>Company Details --> Basic Initialization Tab

Check the option Manage Item Cost Per Warehouse , aslo set Item Group Valuation Method to Moving Average.
