You can define parameter IDs for the fields you want to default in user master SU01.
PIDs allows users to set up defaults for most SAP fields that have a dropdown selection.
To find a fieldu2019s PID, with your cursor in the field click the Help or F1 key.
In the Help Screen, click the Technical Information and PID will be listed in the Field data section.
To set the value for the PID (ex: Company code PID is BUK = 0001 ), go to Own Data via
menu path: >System >User Profile > Own Data and Click the Parameter Tab.
Enter PID, Parameter Value then SAVE
Many thanks to you for your answer, Could you please explain how I can do it through TCode:SHD0? I want to set default value for these fields(Incoterms and Tax) in Create Customer:Sales Area Data.
For example: I want Incoterms value to by default 0001 and Tax 1
Your Answer is highly appreciated.
I want to set a value in these fields not just to put it mandatory or optional.
E.g I want to set this value CFR in the field Incoterms. So when the end user create new customer data this value be top up automatically. Also the field Tax I want to put value (Full tax) in this field.
Every field do not have parameter associated with it. However if you know the table name where the corresponding field lies then you can get parameter by below.
SE11 - table display - Utilities - run time object - display
Here you will have a field in right side (below section) Set/Get Parameter ID

You can default values in these fields, when you copy a customer master while creating it,
enter reference fields like customer, sales area datas.
Tax datas may not be defaulted while creating customer master.
