Barcode Printing (VIA SE73 Test print & Smartform)

Hello,

Using SE73, I've tried setting up the bar code as every type existing in SAP and printed them out but none are recognizable when scanned. I've tried resizing the bar code but nothing is scans.

Tried, Code 39, Code 128, Interleaved 2of5 and Code 93 (with and without check digits)...none printed via SE73 are scannable.

We have different sample barcodes and the scanner works properly.

In SPAD, I am printing to Device defined as a SAPWIN :Rel.4.X/SAPIdp 4.09+ ONLY (Device Type)

Host Access Method is F: Printing on Front End Computer.

Printers: HP Laserjet 5si and Xerox 7655 workcenter printer

Both print the barcodes but scanners not scanning them. Scanners scan everything else we create via another program (loftware) for label printing.

Just wanted to create a simple report using smartforms to print to normal printer (not a label printer) with barcodes.

Any suggestions?

Try SWIN as device type and you need of course barcode new technology

I also found out that if we print to the Microsoft XPS Document Writer and then print that document the barcode works correctly.

Still working on a better solution but at least the barcodes will scan if done that way.

Printer was reversing Black & White output for graphics.
