OM help needed A 012 Relationship

Hi All,

At my current organization, during a Position change action (where employee is getting a new Position) the A 008 relationship gets delimited and there is a new A 008 relationship for the new position. However if the Employee is a Manager the A 012 relationship is not end dating by default during a position change action. We have to manually go to OM side PP01 and end date the A 012 relationship between employee's old position and Org unit. We have PA -OM integration set as Active. What are we missing that's prohibiting this step ?

Hi,

Your 012 relationship is between the Position and the Org Unit. Just because the Holder is transferred, the Position is still the "head" of that Org Unit even if unoccupied. The next person to transfer in or be hired into that position will then be the Manager.

If you are removing that 012 relationship from the first Position and moving it to another Position, then yes, that would have to be done manually. But, again, just moving the Person does not change the relationships between the Position and the Org Unit.

Another way to get around this is to Dynamically Delimit ur A012 if the relationship between the S and P is delimited.

Check with ur development team to see if there any EXIT or BADI avaiable to dynamically delimit a relationship which is related to the validity of another relationship.
