GS1 PI7.1 and R3 4.7

Hi

We are using GS1 standard messages to exchange messages with customers. I have few doubts which I wanted to clear.

We are using SAP PI 7.1 where we will map GS1 to IDOC like ORDERS05 for all messages. Now basically we want to develop a template solution means provide a GS1 based mappings to customers. Now the customers who are already using GS1 standards can re/use mappings in PI as it is. But now my question is if a customer is not using gS1 and he is using internal format should i map the customer format to GS1 and then to IDOC or as in tradational way map the customer format directly to IDOC. If I use GS1 in middle does it add any performace issue like multimapping in PI. Please suggest from the architecural point of view.

Hello Shahram,

We are also working on similar requirement where we need to create GS1 xml from ORDERS05 idoc with SAP PI 7.3. Please let me know how you proceeded on this. Also please let me know if you used any standard mapping for creating the interface for such conversion.
