CRVS2010 - Printing does not work in Google Chrome

Former Member

I saw this was in issue in [this thread.|;.

I have been using the release since it came out. None of my clients are able to print from the print icon when using the report viewer in Google Chrome. No problems in IE8.

In Chrome, clicking the print icon opens a window to print to pdf with an export button.

Did I miss a hot fix somewhere or?

Unfortunately, Google Chrome is not a supported platform at this time:

With Chrome commanding nearly 24% of the latest [browser share,|http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp] and IE down to 27% are there any plans for supporting Chrome in the near future?

Thanks!

I checked with Program Management. In part I got the following:

...currently there is not a plan in place to support Chrome browser for the web-based DHTML viewers, however, customer can request it on [Idea Place|https://ideas.sap.com/community/products_and_solutions/crystalreports].

From the "SAP Crystal Reports developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio Supported Platforms", Service Pack 9:

E.g.; make sure you are using CRVS SP 9. If you still see issues, what version of Chrome are you using? And describe the issue.

The version of Chrome is: Version 34.0.1847.131 m

The version of Crystal Reports is CRforVS_13_0_5

When the application calls a report is loaded a new tab or else the application calls a popup window that starts charging but the report does not load. This is happening only in Google Chrome.

Before we look at Chrome, make sure you're on SP 9 for CRVS.

Hello Ludek.

Thanks for the help.

The SP9 should be installed on the user machine or development? (already installed for the developer) I did well.

Because the reports are loaded in IE and Firefox so I think there are no problems with the development, but the load of the report by the customer.

Anyway thanks for the help.

You always want to have the same runtime on dev and deployed environments.

The runtime should be on the client. With the SP9 (runtime and / or  CRVS installed) reports not loaded at the time of development or running on the client machine
