Delivery Date in transaction VL10D

Dear All,

we are using VL10D with selecting the Deliver. Creation Date. We can then see all "open" deliveries. The problem we have is that the selection is based on the creation date of the delivery and not the delivery itself. I know that you can select the delivery date in the list but is it also possible to do that before executing VL10D? Can you select on hte delivery date instead of the delivery creation date?

Or do you have a better idea/solution?

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,

Markus

Hello Markus,

Ideally, delivery date which is dtermined in your sales order depends upon the availability check settings, where your sales order scheduline line date gets created.

As there may be huge delivery lines flowing in and out every day from warehouses, so generally this delivery creation is done with help of background jobs.We set up background job settings based on delivery date creation which can be allowed when the job actually runs.

Also when the delivery gets created, then the goods needs to be picked and packed and later shipping happens.

The actual delivery date is only detrmined when we have completed with picking and packing (transfer order confirmation). The actual delivery date is determined based on pick pack, transportaion , loading time.

So it is always recommened and standard parctice, that we create the deliveries with refernce to delivery creation date.

This helps us in maintaining and optimising the work load in warehouse

Hi,

In the field where you populate the delivery date, do not populate anything, leave blank and execute the system should give you

want you want.

Hi Silas,

that does not really work. What exactly do you mean? I should leave the deliv. creation date on the first screen blank? Do you fill other fields as well?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Markus
