Hi,
Cube data will get from Active table
Change Log Table Contains the change history for the delta update from the DataStore object into other data targets, such as DataStore objects or InfoCubes

Dear Karuna,
1.WHEN DATA IS FIRST LOADED IN TO THE ODS IT IS PRESENT IN THE ACTIVE DATA TABLE,
2.WHEN YOU LOAD IT INTO THE CUBE CUBE WE HAVE TO ACTIVATE IT THAN THE DATA COMES TO THE CHANGELOG TABLE,
3. FROM THE CHANGELOG TABLE THE DATA GOES TO THE CUBE.
.....HOPE YOU GOT UR ANSWER

hi,
If you are loading data from ODS to Cube and whetever changeshapped in ODS levelthese changes will be captured in the Change Log table which is used for Delta and not from the active table.
for Eg.
1. First if you load 100 to DSO this will load in DSO, and change log will have +100. This will be loaded into cube as 100.
2. If you are sending the same combination with amount 200 means, first this will goes to DSO and it will overwrite there you will get 200,
But in DSO change log the records will be like ponum item date amount
123 xx xxx -100
123 xx xxx +200

Hi,
in the next Load, according your example :-
Cube will have
123 xx xxx 100 //First time load
123 xx xxx 100//Second time ie. 200 - 100
both will come from ODS Change Log
when you compress the cube it will become
123 xx xxx 200
that is the reason we use standard DSO to Provide Delta Functionality,
if you want the DSO layer for data backup, then you can use WriteOptimized instead Standard DSO.
Best Regards
Obaid
For a Standard DSO, the Delta is always from the DSO Change Log Table.
(Although different options are available in the DTP for Delta Init Extraction).
It would be much appreciated if you please search the forum before posting such basic questions.
