If it was working before then I guess there are some bugs in SP6, please raise OSS call (Very old note also explain same issue with hoplist: .747390).
You need to check RFC destination and SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration on CRM system to find out proxy configuration: read wiki for help: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/Step-by-stepFTPtoABAPProxy
But in my opinion this is bug and probably SAP will release corrections/.

I have already looked at this thread. No help.
Can anybody tell me where to find the proxy settings on SAP(CRM) and PI. My interest is especially focused on parameters/setting that have with conversion of the message from PI to CRM in the proxy communication.
*Note that the http error is thrown on CRM(receiver side).
