Dear experts

i am intalling sap on HP_UX 11.31 with db2.

i am getting error KInldy suggest.

I had the identical error on AIX 6.1. In the db2setup.og file i found "51041317_1/DB2_LUW_9.7_FP4_RDBMS_AIX_HP_SOL/AIX_64/ESE/disk1/db2setup errno: 13, error text: Permission denied". I executed sudo chmod -R 777* across all of the installation DVD's. Just to be safe i re-ran sudo ./sapinst as a new installation. now I am getting a simliar error but not the same.

Its was media issue and i downloaded media again and given full permission

so issue solved ..

Yes, it is permissions problem. Giving full permissions to the software dump will resolve this issue.

I was also getting the same problem . I just changed the file permission to 777 of database software files and it worked .

it seems that the installation didn't even start...you are on IA64?

directory SAPDUMP (and succesors) is accessable?

which user did you use to start db2setup?

solved by my self db2install file was missing in dump
