Hi,

You have 2 quality systems, and you want to move the same transports from DEV to the Q1 and Q2.

You create a transport1 and move it to Q1.

After that you can create a request in "Transport of copies", Here you mention the System id for the Q2 as destination.

In this transport you can import the objects of transport1.

You get all the objects collected in the transport1 in the "transport of copies" ready to be transported to Q2.

Thanks

Hi Max,

Customizing transports contains configuration and they are created when functional team does the configuration of your SAP system.

Workbench transports contains development work like ABAP programs, custom tables, etc. that your ABAP development team does in your system.

In general, not always, customizing is client-dependent and workbench is client-independent transports.

Hi,

just to add to the above post, using transport of copies, we can move objects to a target system without having a transport route.

Customizing requests are client specific. the changes will not be reflected in other clients. For e.g, a change done in ECC Dev system client 100 will not be reflected in other clients in the same ECC Dev system. We have to do a client copy using trans SCC1. You can see the client number next to this type of request.

Workbench requests are cross-client. changes done in one client are automatically reflected in all other clients.
