Hi Guys,
I am working on FI GL totals, I am facing an issue with DSO key fields.
I know we cannot have more than 16 keyfields in the DSO, My situtation is to have more than 16 keyfields.
I searched the forum and found that we can concatenate two keyfields into one keyfield and split at infocube level.
But my question is, Can anyone help me in deciding which two keyfields i can choose for concatenate so that I should not miss any delta records.
Thanks in advance,
Anand
Hi,
Some correction :-
U can concatenate any two key fields (master data or not doesnt matter).
The DSO stores data as a flat file. The combination of any two key fields will create a different primary key.
eg:-
Let's consider an example where the ODS needs to have 30 fields instead of 16 to form a unique key record. What can be is :- create a custom characteristic that has the length of atleast the total length of 15 characteristics.
(Or create two is the total length exceeds 60)
Also checkSAP Note # 1002272.

Rahul

Hi Anand,
In this context you should be very careful while compounding Characteristics. You can combine any characteristics which doesn't have master data. If you choose the characteristics which is having master data, will impact the individual master data.
Hope this will help you.
