Hi,
I have a query. There is an employee who holds 2 positions (POS1 and POS2) with 50% assignment to each. Now these positions POS1 and POS2 belongs to two Org Units, ORG1 and ORG2 respectively. Now in the Itype 0001 screen of that employee what will arrive as his Org Unit and Position?
Hello,
There is one position that is considered primary position. It will also appear on the IT 0001 for the person. The rest are considered secondary and exist as relationship on the OM side.
Hope this might help you.
Good Day

Hi,
Primary Position - the position employee is assigned to when he/she is hired- can be seen in infotype 0001.
Other position assignments are accessible via "Org structure" button in PA30 - IT0001 screen.
If we hire one person to morethan one position, the highest percentage assigned position will be shown in the infotype 0001 and the rest we can see in relathionship infotype also.
Hope this might help you
Good Luck,
KK

So Kiran,
What I understand is, while running hiring action, I can assign POS1 to the employee in Itype 0001. Now once the hiring is done, in relationships, I have to
Firstly, make this as 50%
Secondly, create a holding relationship between position POS2 and the employee and make it 50%
After doing all these, in Itype0001, I will be able to see POS1, and in Org Structure, under both POS1 and POS2, this employee will appear.
Is my understanding correct?
If you click Org structure button in IT0001 you can view the two postions assigned.
