Unable to relase working time on ESS

Hi

I have created and fully tested my CATS config on my development client and transported all the config to my test client successfully.

I now get the below error on the test client which does not occur on the development client.

An error occurred on starting the workflow The system cannot release your working times because incorrectly recorded working times exist or target times for the corresponding day were not met. First choose "Record Working Times." Correct your entries on the corresponding days. You will then be able to release your working times.

Any ideas as to how I may resolve this will be appreciated.

Thanks

Maahir

Does it happen in CAT2 as well?

is the task you are using in CAc1 is set as general?

would you please change the settings of the standard task TS31000007 to

'General Task' via following procedure:

- Open transaction PFTC

- Choose Task type 'Standard Task'

- Enter Task 31000006

- Click Display

- Goto Additional Data > Classification > Display

With this option you should be able to execute the task.

If the template is selected as '2No general Task' you can check the

object that are defined as agents and check why you are not an agent.

Furthermore please check in the transaction PPOSW, in the Task

Assignment Structure, the assignment of task TS31000006 should not be

assigned to any individual person, because this task is a General Task

and should not be binded to any of the positions.

For more documentation on workflow implementation please also refer to

the online help (http://help.sap.com) especially under following path:

Cross-Application Components

> Cross-Application Time Sheet (CA-TS)

> Process for Creating Time Sheets

> Approval Procedure

> Technical Implementation of the SAP Business Workflow for

Issuing Approvals

The following documents might also be useful:

> Preparation and Customizing of the Approval Workflow

> Using and Linking to Application Functions)

'You can assign agents by:

- Assigning the standard task using an organizational plan object

- Defining the standard task as a general task. You are advised to use

this option if you have not yet maintained an organizational plan and

do not intend creating one.

For more information, see Preparation and Customizing of the Approval

Workflow

- Determining the agent using the SAP enhancement Determine Workflow

Recipients for Approval (CATS0008).

For more information, see the documentation for the SAP enhancement.'

The error message which you are getting in your system generally occurs

due to improper customization and configuration of workflow and tasks

related with CATS. So you might want to check through the customization

specially towards agent assignment in workflow.

1. TS31000004 : CATS Approval

2. TS31000006 : CATS Approval by Time Administrator

3. TS31000007 : CATS Approval by Supervisor.

Hi Siddharth

Thanks for this all I needed to do was set the Task to general.

Found out that this change was done by someone else, hence it wasn't under my transport.

I'll award points.
