While going through EHP1 additions to the Web UI framework, I found a new & easier way of changing the SAP CRM Logo on the skin with the corporate logo of the company.
This can be done without needing to create a custom skin. Also there is no need to modify the CSS file if you are on EHP1. The two step process of how to do this is explained below:
Step 1: Upload the Logo.
Simply upload your logo to the standard SAP skins (or a custom skin) by accessing Skin workbench using transaction CRMC_SKIN_WB. Make sure that the logo file is a GIF or PNG.
Step 2: Embed the uploaded logo onto the skin you are using.
Go to the customizing entry SAP Reference IMG --> Customer Relationship Management --> UI Framework --> UI Framework Definition --> Skins & Icons --> Define Icons
Here, first create a Icon name with type = LOGO. Now select the newly created Icon and in the dialog structure choose 'Icon Files'. Create a new entry with your uploaded logo file type, the name of the skin you are using and specify the uploaded logo in the field 'URL'. Save your entries.
Also the logo has been enhanced with a freely definable text accompanying the logo. Phrases like company tag line can be used here. This text appears to the right of the logo. You won't believe how simple this task is. An additional field called 'Logo Text' is provided in the definition of business role details. Just fill this up and the text will appear when the user logs on with the same business role.
Hey,
is there any tutorial aviable?
Best Regards

Ahmad,
Thanks for the tip. Please add this to the CRM wiki by creating a new wiki stage entry by following these directions:

Hi guys,
I would like to add some information on these instructions, because there is some tricks on this setup. I spend some hours to found out how to resolve it.
Pre-requirements:
1 – This is only works on SAP CRM 7 Ehp 1 or higher.
2 - Business Function UI_FRW_1 has been activated.
Step 1: Upload the Logo.
Simply upload your logo to the standard SAP skins (or a custom skin) by accessing Skin workbench using transaction CRMC_SKIN_WB. Make sure that the logo file is a GIF or PNG.
Tip1:
Laercio: It is easier to upload these files using SE80, BSP APPLICATION "THTMLB_STYLES", select the skin, go to folder Images and then "import mime object"
Tip2
Image type PNG for IE7 and up, GIF if you are using IE6. The best approach is to write two entries, one for each file type. Additionally, your images must have the same size of the originals ones.
The BIG TIP:
Laercio: The setup above only works if the there is only one entry on the folder "Icon" and the field "Icon name" must be filled with "CUSTOM_LOGO"
Now select the newly created Icon and in the dialog structure choose 'Icon Files'. Create a new entry with your uploaded logo file type, the name of the skin you are using and specify the uploaded logo in the field 'URL'. Save your entries.
Tip3:
After those steps run on SE38 report "WCF_REFRESH_ICONS".
Good luck.
Laercio
