ECC 6 : Upgrade patch level or upgrade to EHP 6

Dear All,

We are into process industry and using SAP ECC 6.

We have also made lots of development related to CIN.

Our SAP_APPL patch level is 14 (SAPKH60014).

Presently we need to apply so many notes specifically due to CIN related changes and in 90% of notes

mentioned that correction included in next patch i.e. may be in 17,18 etc.

We plan to upgrade patch level or go for EHP4.

I need your valuable suggestion whether to go for a path upgrade or updagrade ECC 6 to EHP4.

Is there any document which provide me which Technical and functional future/benefit

are available in EHP4 compare to ECC 6.

Hello Nirav,

The starting point to get information about EHPs is http://service.sap.com/erp-ehp.

You can see there documents with technical information, overview of functionality, etc.

http://service.sap.com/bfp has got information about the Business Function Prediction service, which you may use to get to know what would be the technical usages your company would benefit most of.

Hi,

Even thou you upgrade EHP4 you need support packs. e.g EHP4 SP08 is equivelent to ECC6.0 SP18.

Just wanted to clarify :

Enhancement pack will bring new functionalities ( enhancement in your landscape) which is optional and on-demand.

But support pack is mandatory for legal changes and bug fixes.
