Bex Analyzer with SAP GUI 7.2 SAP 4 Patch 1

Hi Gurus,

I have a big problem after install the latest SP for SAP GUI 7.2 (bi720sp04p_401-20006596). The Analyzer bar is not in function at all. None of its button has any action.

Information:

SAP GUI 720

SP 4 PATCH 1

REVISION 660

WINDOWS 7

EXCEL 2010

I've got also the problem of not responding buttons in Excel 2007.

I've got sap gui 7.2 with latest patches, excel 2007SP2 and Windows XP SP3.

The buttons are visible in Excel 2007, but when I click on the buttons nothing happens.

Please help.

Dear Gilson,

You have to uninstall EVERYTHING (SAPGUI + Business Explorer) and reinstall from the beginning.

Download the installer from the link below and reinstall:

http://service.sap.com/swdc

> Browse our Download Catalog

> SAP Frontend Components

> SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS

> SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS 7.20 CORE

> Installation

> 50102369_4.ZIP

After that, download the patches.

Hi John,

Thanks for your answer. I will try but first of all a need to uninstall the SAP GUI. I am getting an error saying: the SAP Front-end Installer executable is unable to process XML files.

Any idea?

That is weird. I never saw this issue.

Please, take a look into the note below:

Ensure your worksation is respecting all pre-requisites.

It has SAP Config Requirements.

Software requirement for Windows 7

OS : Windows 7

Browser : IE 7.0 or IE 8.0

Excel : 2007 and 2010 (32 bits).

How about .NET framework?

Install ALL versions.

Also, execute the SetupALL.exe as administrator.

I STRONGLY recommend at least patch level 4 with SAP-GUI 7.2. Patches 1 through 3 had various issues.
