PO release strategy

Hi SAP Guru,

We have set a unique release strategy for all the regions for PO release. but for some region i want.

PO with reference to Contract should not have release strategy for PO (As Contract already approved).

and for some region

PO with/without reference to contract should have the release strategy (As contract already approved).

Hi,

You can create a document type PO (ZAC) that will created from contract only and do not keep value ZAC in the strategy in classification segment.

For example: You can have document type( For PO document type NB,ZNB,YNB,ZCPC,ZCCC but for contract document type is MK & WK---->CEKKO & BSART) very well to differentiate between PO & contract and design your release strategies for PO & contract separately and do not keep value ZAC in the PO strategy (with PO release Group ) in classification segment.

NOTE:

You can use Purchasing Document Category to to differentiate between PO & contract and create Release characteristic with CEKKO with BSTYP. For PO purchasing document category is F & for contract purchasing document category is K.

Hi Braj123,

The release strategies are independent and to the header level.

You can define the plant i.e. Plant1 and Plant2, but, if in a PO you have both plants, the system will get the first that can found.

When you define a release strategy, you cannot identify if the PO has a Contract or not and if this was approved or not.

If you need this, you need to make something custom.

How do you define region? is it Plant number?
