Hi,
We had upgrade to ECC6.0 and used the SAPSPrint to replace SAPLPD,
my printer is EPSON LQ-2180C(Dot matrix printer), and we had created sapscript form which is 18cm X 13cm,
it can print successfully, but its format is always A4 size, any ideas for this ? how should I do to solve this problem ??
Thanks !!
Hi,
If there is a custom page format, then no command is sent to windows.
You need to set default page size in windows (see Note 163136).
The only difference between the Saplpd and the Sapsprint of
which we know is that the Sapsprint probably runs under a
different user (the user which is set in the service definition)
We don't know, whether the default page format is user-dependent.
Can you check whether this has any effect?

Aidan

Hi,
The printer settings under windows are user dependent:
Normally the saplpd is started under your local user, but sasprint
mainly runs under the windows service user.
Could you please check the printer settings of sapsprint service that
it runs, check the the paper lenght and width for the printer in
Windows server.
Note "946209 Analyzing SAPSprint problems" may be helpful.

Aidan
Hi Aidan,
I tried to use this command "SAPSPRINT -o -p", had shown my printer setting, below:
Printer settings for printer 8it1:
Printer name: 8it1
Tray name: Manual feed Internal tray ID: 4
Paper formats:
User defined
13cm x 18cm
Color Printer: YES
Maximum number of copies: 32000
Printer driver version: 1024
Driver version specification number: 1025
Duplex: NO
dmFields value: 1916703
Maximum paper width: 1778
Maximum paper height: 26870
Minimum paper width: 508
Minimum paper height: 165
Available memory: -1
Print rate: -1 pages per minute
How do I change these values ? or need to change the Printer Drive in Windows server ?
Thanks !!
Hi,
Please do the following steps:
1.You should set the Sapsprint parameters LogLevel to 5 and KeepFile
to 1
according to note 946209 and repeat the print on the Epson printer.
2.After this you should attach the new sapwin_...log file and
the file <SID><Spool-ID>_<Output request number>.
Can you try changing the user who run
SAPSPRINT service to the user that was configured
to proper size?
Regards,
Aidan

Where can I change the paper size of configuration for user ?? In SAP ? or Windows server ?
Thanks !!
Hi,
If you create your own page format 'Z....', then in this case no
command is sent from SAP to tell Windows which page format to use. So
with custom formats, Windows always uses its default page format.
This default page format can usually be set in the Windows printer
settings.
In your Windows system go via:
Start -> Control Panel -> Printers
-> Right-click on your printer and select 'Properties'
-> Now press 'Advanced' -> 'Printing Defaults'
SAP note: 163136
Please try to use the custom format and in Windows
set the default page format to what you require as described above.
This thread would be more suited to "Abap Development --> Form Printing"
Regards,
Aidan
