DashBoard Design Enterprise Edition V's Xcelsius Dashboard 2008

HI

I know that if the BI Netweaver 7.0 has EHP1 SP05 installed we can have a direct connection between Xcelsus 2008 SP2+ and access our BEx Queries, and there is no need to install BusinessObjects XI 3.1 (Base components).

Can I please check:

1. If we install EHP3, can we still maintain the same set up as described above?

2. Is the latest version of Dashboard "DashBoard Design Enterprise Edition " ? can this be installed as a standalone product like Xcelsius 2008 or it must be installed with SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.0 ?

Thanks

hi,

Regarding Point 2,

Yes. Dashboard Design 4.0 is the latest version of Xcelsius 2008.

Dashboard Design 4.0 can be installed Standalone without SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.0

thanks Vamsee

I assume that the BIC connection will still work and hence we can access the Bex queries.

I cannot find this software version in the sap Marketplace , would you know where this is located please ?

Would you also know if we require a new license key or we can still use the same key as what we have for Xcelsius 2008 ?

Thanks

Following with this topic,

We have Sap Netweaver BI 7.0 and SAP enterprise Portal 7.0 installed, and will be upgrading to EHP1 SP05+ in the future. We have Xcelsius 2008 SP3 and will be using the BIC direct connectivity to Netweaver BI after EHP1. We do not have the BusninessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 (base componet).

I would like to know:

1. if we use DashBoard Design 4.0 as a standalone (ie without BusinessObejcts 4.0) can we still publish the dashboards to a SWF file, and will it prompt you with a login to Netweaver BI ? Or are we restricted to only running this via the Portal as it will require the Web Runtime Environment (seems like what I am reading but dont fully understand it)?

2. Equally, for Xcelsius 2008 SP3 as a standalone can we still publish the dashboards to a SWF file, and will it prompt you with a login to Netweaver BI ?

Our preference is to be able to run this as a SWF file and have the login box for netweaver.

thanks
