TREX core dumps continuously

I have installed TREX (build 7.00.44.162464) and have an RFC connection to our CRM 7.0 system. When i restarted the TREX system recently, it is continuously giving me a core dump. Below is the only message I see beside the core dump in the "python_support" directory.

[1] 2011-06-09 14:11:50.983 i Daemon TrexDaemon.cpp(05552) : process python with pid 8913100 exited because it caught signal 11

[1] 2011-06-09 14:11:55.989 i Daemon TrexDaemon.cpp(04873) : start 'python alertserver.py' as process 8913104

[1] 2011-06-09 14:11:57.292 i Daemon TrexDaemon.cpp(05552) : process python with pid 8913104 exited because it caught signal 11

[1] 2011-06-09 14:12:02.299 i Daemon TrexDaemon.cpp(04873) : start 'python alertserver.py' as process 8913106

Any Ideas?

Hi All,

This solution is not working for me.

My TREX Version is 7.1 Patch61

Can you please suggest if anything else we need to do for this.

Hi Murtaza Najmi,

do you have the core dumps generated by the python (TREXAlertServer) process or an other
TREX service? Could you please copy/paste some related entries here  from the TrexDaemon trace.

Here a late answer, maybe sombody can use it in the future:-)

I had the same isse and solved it by renaming/removing /usr/sap/<sid>/<instancename>/<hostname>/trace/TrexAlertServerHistory.trc

Then a new file is created and the alertserver runs properly.
