I have just upgraded my Xcelsius 2008 to SP 4 and Office 2010, and opening Xcelsius files created in version 5.3.4 takes above five minutes with the status 'Loading Excel'. If I create a new Xcelsius file in version 5.4 and reopens it in few seconds.
When creating a snapshot to Excel from the Preview function, it also takes several minutes, so it seems like there in general is a performance issue with my Xcelsius files created in 5.3.4 using Excel 2003 now being used in Xcelsius 5.4 and Office 2010.
I seems like the size of the Excel file in increasing. The Excel file created using 'Snapshot to Excel' from preview is 1.25 MB (format: Excel 97-2003), but if saving that file as xlsx (office 2010) it reduces to 333 KB.
Tried to import the Excel 2010 file (from Snapshot to Excel from Preview) into the Xcelsius file, and that had a huge performance effect. With the original file it takes 6.20 minutes to open til Xcelsius file, but after importing the Excel 2010 file it "only" takes 1.15 minutes. Also wundering why 'Snapshot to Excel' is producing a Excel 97-2003 file, after saving the Xcelisu fil using Xcelsius version 5.4 and Office 2010.
Anybody had this expecience and thereby are able to give guidance or share experiences?
