Hi Malhaar,

1. Go to Administration > Setup > Business Partners > Business Partner Properties

Here to rename the BP Properties field name so it can be understandable by end-user.

2. Go to Business Partners > Business Partner Master Data > Properties Tab

Here for you to tick one or more properties related to the particular BP.

After adding in few transactions.....

3. Go to Sales Analysis Report (Customer Tab) or Purchase Analysis Report (Vendor Tab) or Inventory Posting List (BP Tab).

At the selection criteria screen, you can see the Properties button, click on it to do the necessary filtering.

Thanks.

Lay Chin

Hi Malhaar,

From the column names of those properties: QryGroupXX, you will know immediately these are designed for query use. 64 is hard number for those columns.

The usages are open for any users to define. A better way to define them would involve great knowledge about your business. The more relevant to your daily usage of the system, the better.

Hi Malhaar.......

BP Properties are nothing but the categories where one Business Partner can categorize at a time in one or more than one Group/Category (Upto 64)....

It means if you have BP categories as

1.Local

2.Outside State

3.Export

4.Import

So Business Partner say CA0001 can be categorize as Local and Export and also Outside State.

So this way you can assign properties simply by ticking in BP Master Data........

Other BP can be any one of the above category say Local so tick only local category......

Hope you clear with this solution..........

Hello,

Yes you can flag foreign Vendors through BP Properties.

and later when you run report then you can filter the report on properties basis.

means we can say more clasification(Identifer) of BP master.

in my concern you should make also Part group in Business Partner master data for pefect reporting purposing.

Thanks

Hi,

Please find the following explanation regarding the Properties and its use :

You can classify your business partners by properties, which you define according to your business requirements. You assign the relevant properties when you process a master record for a business partner.

The properties are not mandatory; a business partner can have none, one, or up to 64 properties.

You can use the properties to:

Format reports and evaluations

Sort data

Select master records during processing
