transfer material to material wirh different valuation class

Dear Expert,,

I have difficult to transfer stock quantity and stock value from material A to material B,,

the detail case is like below :

Material A have valuation class 1000; stock quantity 500 PC and the stock value 5000,,

this material has been already movement transaction at this case (migo-GI wit movement type 201 and 202),

when I cross check the GL, those materials have wrong GL (means wrong valuation class).

finally I create a new material similar material A (called material B) with coreect valuation class (to change material A).

material B have valuation 2000; stock quantity and syock value is -0- (zero),,

How I can transfer stcok value and stock quantity from maetrial A to material B ?

I have already use migo with transfer posting (movement type 309) but I can do that, because material A and material B have different valuation class,,

Please give me your suggestion,,

you can do this with 201 and 202 movement.

you need to customize the 202 movement to allow external value.

you then issue material A with 201.

subsequently you post the 202 at material B with quantity and external value equal to the 201 movement .

SAP will then create the moving average price of material B based on the 202 movement.

I'll try to check it,,

but in my bussiness process here, I couldn't change customize the 202 movement, because I'm at Plant Level,, the Head Quarter is on Denmark.

But, finally I have trick to solve this case.

below my step to transfer material to mateial with different valuation class :

for example :

material A --> Old material

stock quantity 10 PC

stock value 1000 $

valuation class 111

price per unit (V) 100 $

material B --> new material

stock quantity 0 PC

stock value 0 $

valuation class 115

step 1. change price for Old material to -0- (zero) use MR21

step 2. MIGO-GI (with movement type 201) for all quantity of Old material

step 3. MIGO-Reversal (movement type 202) with new material and the quantity is 10 PC (same like quantity which have goods isse in step 2)

step 4. change price for New materila form -0- to 10 $.

notes : alwas check Stock (MB52), Stock balance (MB5L) and master data (MM03) for new material and old material when finish the all step and before we use these step.

Hi,

You can do material to material transfer using 309 movement even though val class is different.

Note:

make sure the UOM of both the materials is same.

material to material transfer with 309 moment if you used it will directly impact to balancesheet because for two diffrent

valuation class 2 diffrent gl assigned .

please check OBYC settings
