Dear Gurus,
I had a BOM in which two items were duplicated. Hence I proceeded to delete one of the components. The BOM was created against ECN wih a "valid from" date lying in the future i.e. 10.12.2012. Thus, the components' valid from date was 10.12.2012 and valid to date was 31.12.9999.
After deletion, I found that the component still appears twice in display view (CS03). The validity of deleted component is now changed as valid from 10.12.2012 to 10.12.2012.Thus, it is still valid for one day. However, in change mode, I can see the correct BOM (no duplicate component).
How should I get rid of this? Is it std functionality?
Kindly help ASAP.
It is a std. functionality, nothing to get rid as such. Anyway it is just for info purpose, so will not cause any issues in your operational use.
Hope it clarifies

Dear Amit,
As explained by Vivek,it is the standard SAP behaviour and still if you have confusion check CS03 with some future valid from
date other than 10.12.2012(example 15.12.2012).
Check and revert back.
