Business Objects 4.0 Client Tools isuue

Former Member

Hello all,

I have installed Business Objects 4.0 client tools on my PC.

The PC is running on Windows 7 32bit.

However, when I try to run "Web Intelligence Desktop client" (Interactive Analysis Desktop) or "Business View Manager" it throws me the following error:

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application"

When I run "Universe Design Tool", it does not throw any error. But the application does not run at all.

The following applications run FINE as a surprise.

Data Federation Administration Tool

Information Design Tool

Query as a Web Service Designer

Report Conversion Tool

Translation Management Tool

Widgets

Could any one let me know if you have encountered this wierd issue.

Do I need to install anything else..?

I have got .NET 4.0 framework installed on the PC.

Thanks a lot

Phani.

Hi Vivek   I even tried that too.,  Below is the error.  Cryptocme2.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file cannot be registered.

Hi Usha,

This issue is PC dependant.

I remember fixing this issue by changing the crypto.dll as my PC had cryto from another antivirus software.

Please raise it with SAP.

Thanks

Phani.

I haven't seen this. You may want to try adding tracing to see if you can see any more information in the trace logs. You will want to look at KB 1586166. You will likely need to logon to Service Market Place to see that KB.
