BCS exception (OSERR_BCS) occurred- ALert framework

I am trying to send a email alert through Event Management (mySAP SCM 5.0).

Whiel doing this i am facing the following error " BCS exception (OSERR_BCS) occurred" which is part of class CX_BCS. The error OSERR_BCS is a OS_exception attribute.

Please provide some pointers related to this error.

Hi Amit,

I am Kumar and even me working on SCEM 5.0 and stuck with the same issue as yours while triggerign the mail as part of alert

If you have resolved this issue so far...please help us out in resolving it

  try this:
  In transaction ALRTCATDEF then Settings -> Configuration:
  Delete wrongly delivered entry "SUDOA" in field Inbound Processing and specify an existing user. The user should have an email address assigned in transaction SU01 (user management). Afterwards it should work.
