Locking option to restrict posting against sale order

Hi,

I want to restrict user to post anything/accounting document against some sale order means I want to lock sales order for any type of posting. I didnt find any lock/close option in sale order. Is there any option available or does this need any customization/coding? Pl. advise.

Hi

If you want to stop dong deliveries, billing for some sort of sales orders,

Then you can configure status profile on BS02. SO that only an authorised person can release or unblock them.

Also try with maintaining delivery and billing block for those sales orders

Hi

I have some sale orders in which some are running and some are completed. Other than Delivery and Billing, other entries as below are being posted till the time due to lack of descipline. So costing dept wants to lock sale orders for

Accounting entries resulting from any below source for example

1. 231 movement posting

2. Any manual FI entry

3 Service PO with account assignment as sale order

So is there any option available?

Hi Vijay....If that is for particular sales order type then u can customize based on your sales order type if the order type is different for those orders (as u said some orders). Here u said any posting what does it mean? Do u want them to stop creating any delivery or billing or just accounting document at the time of billing ? What exactly u mean any posting?
