Safari Version 5.1 crashes when using SDN certificate login

hi fellow Mac users,

Safari Version 5.1 (6534.50) on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 build 10K549) crashes when trying to use the certificate login in SDN, or when trying to use the Service Marketplace. I have my S-User certificate in my keychain, and up until the last round of patches it worked just fine.

I can reproduce this every time. No identity preferences configured for that certificate.

also reported as Apple bug #9936051 in Radar

ideas anyone? Or is there anyone who sees same/similar behavior?

thanks for your input

Florenz

resolved with Safari 5.1.1 (6534.51.22) on 10.6.8 (but needs manually configured identity preference)

just workd from 10.9 onwards, no manual configuration needed

acknowledged by Apple as duplicate of radar #9822038. Will update once I hear more.

Running Safari 5.1 on Lion and I do not have any issues.

One item I would try is to remove the certificate from your keychain and then go get a new certificate. Maybe the issue is with the certificate itself causing the crash (although Safari itself should not crash but that is another item).

Why would I get a new certificate when it works elsewehere? Also, the expected behavior when encountering an invalid certificate is certainly not a browser crash.
