Hi,
I had got the same problem. Can you please check for required things. As these are required to install Server in your local System.
<b>DNS Settings</b>
Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Local Area Connections ->
General tab -> Advanced -> Select Users/IP -> Properties -> DNS
include your network domain into the DNS settings (Append these DNS suffixes(in order)).
<b>Required Users</b>
Control Panel -> Administrative Tools- > Computer Management -> Local Users
Create below users with all privileges.
j2eadm
SAPServiceJ2E
<b>User Permissions</b>
User(For your Id) - Admin Privileges
RegEdit - USBSTOR - Right Click -> Permissions -> ADD -> Advanced -> Find Now -> Search User -> Ok -> Permission for him Full Control and Read (Below Code)
Reply me, if you struck some where in the installation.

Sridhar

Hi Sridhar,
I am having the same issue as above. I did all the things that you said.
I didnt understand this 'RegEdit - USBSTOR ' . So, I went to registry editor and searched for USBSTOR, I got two entries, but they dont seem relavent.
So, how did you resolve the issue ?
I am using Win XP professional SP2.
Thanks,
Kumar
