Dangerous Goods Extension Syndication to ECC System not Happening.

Former Member

Hi All,

We are using SAP MDM in our project. We have added a Dangerous Goods Extension for a material tried to syndicate it to ECC system so the data between two systems will be in synch.

MDM generated the XML file of the material, but the thing is, the IDOC in ECC is not being posted, with status 51.

The error message is too general and I was unable to determine the possible cause of failure.

What are other possible reasons why the Dangerous Goods Extension is not being posted in ECC?

Thanks in advance,

Erwin

Hi Erwin,

Most probable reason i think is that Idoc is not carrying the mandatory fields for data population to ECC.

Please recheck the mandatory fields in mm02 for extension of Dangerous goods.

Please mention the exact error statement here.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

Thanks, I will checkn in mm02.

The exact error message is as follows:

IDoc was not posted; see import log

Message no: DGA385

Diagnosis

You attemted to distribute dangerous goods master records to the current system. However, errors were found in the objects.

Updating is cancelled due to your setting that the IDoc cannot be updated when there are errors.

You can check the reasons for the incorrect data records in the import log.

System Response

The IDoc was not posted.

Procedure

After correcting the errors (see the import log), you can start the distribution again.

Note: There were actually no import log generated.

HI Erwin,

This seems to me like a data error, possibly some dependent entry based or material type is not going right.

You can test the same in test environment using we19,it is a testing tool for idoc.

Also please tell me the idoc type and mdm version your are using.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

I have no access to mm02. I think Dangerous Good Extension for material is maintained in a different table...

Our MDM version is Version 7.1.05.104

Message Type of the IDoc is DANGEROUSGOOD
