Change schedule of Manufacturing orders in ECC X order status

Dear SAP gurus,

We are working with ECC integrated with SAP APO. In some cases we cannot change the order dates (schedule of orders) in the ECC system, we can only change this schedule in the connected APO. We have observed 2 situations where we cannot change order schedule on the SAP APO side:

1. Order with Status CRTD (Created), EXTS (Changed by external system) and EXPL (External Conv.of Planned Order)

2. Order with Status EXPL (External Conv.of Planned Order) and REL (Released)

The status mentioned on 1st example correspond to the status of converted planned order in the SAP APO system. The status mentioned on the 2nd example correpsond to the status of an order created by another system and sent to APO for scheduling. If we undo the release of the order on the 2nd example (chaing to status CRTD) we can change the order dates on the ECC system.

How can we control this configuration? Maybe would be interesting to have the option to schedule orders on APO and ECC as well.

Thanks and BR

Mauricio

Hi !

Has anyone faced a scenario where order is with status CRTD and EXTS set in ECC by APO but at the same time scheduling is not happening in APO, infact PPDS is not configured  ?

Hi Dario and Maurício!

The EXTS will be set at header level and the DSEX status will be set at the operation level if the Material is being planned externally. This indicates that this order is being scheduled by the APO system.

If you want to avoid this from happening, you could disable the Distribution definition at /SAPAPO/CP1 and set the Publication Settings to "No retransfer" for "In-House Production" in /SAPAPO/CP3.

But bear in mind that this can cause inconsistencies of dates between both systems.

In summary: the SCM is the leading scheduling system and no changes in ECC should occur for these orders.

The most "elegant" solution would be to trigger a "Read PP Master Data" and re-explode the order in ECC.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Hi Mauricio,

We are facing with the same situation.

Have you found an "elegant" solution for this issue?

Best Regards,

Dario

There is a workaround that you can use to be able to change the Production Order on ECC side: make changes that require a date change like reread master data or changing the order quantity.
