How to Know service pack and patch level of EP

Hi,

I'm having 3 instances of EP...

WorkPlace,EP5 and EP6 and I have privileges to login as administrator.So whatz my question is ...How do i know the Service Pack and patch level of these instances.....

Hi,

There is a more simple way to find system info of portal,

use this URL,

http://<hostname>:<port number>

Do not upend /irj/portal to this url, it will take you to index.html page and there ciclk on syste minformation, logon usinf admin user id and there you can clearly see SP level or patch level and all other details of portal.

how to check content management version, support pack, patch no and hotfix

and also i want to find same information for TREX.

Ameya as suggested by you, i got EP details from that index.html page.

but i am not able to find the above information over there.

Hi,

For support pack and path level you will get the file at following location,

\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<inst no.>\j2ee\support_platform\output\All_Version_Info.txt

And regarding hotfix, you have a got a reply in earlier post that how to find a hotfix.

there no directory "output" inside folder support_platform

Hi Aditya,

for the TREX version please look into the file TREXVersion.html located in the <TREX directory >/doc (TREX 6.1) <TREX directory>/exe/doc/ (TREX 7.0)

You can check SN

Open http://<hostname>:<port number>/monitoring/ComponentInfo

This will give you all detail about installed components ans patch level

Hi Lakshmi,

Another way to check the versions is through the Portal itself. You can go to System Administration --> Support Desk --> Version and check the Portal Service Pack and Patch Level.

Suppose you see the version as 6.0.2.3.2

This means that you are on EP6 SP2 Patch3 Hotfix2.

inside support it is showing

portal => 6.0.15.0.0

may i know then what can be patch??

Hi,

Here is how you can find the version files on SAP EP 6.0 SP2 and SAP EP 6.0 on Web AS 6.40.

SAP EP 6.0 SP2:

C:\usr\sap\<system id>\j2ee\j2ee_00\portal_versions

SAP EP 6.0 on Web AS 6.40

C:\usr\sap\<system id>\JC00\j2ee\portal_misc\versions
