section 10 Allowance in Form 16 showing incorrect

Hi Experts,

I have created wage types HRA and Conveyance in IT0008.

Assigned Tax codes : SHRA:House Rent Allowance, SCNV Conveyance Allowance

in V_T7INT9

wage type tax type frequency exempt it tax code currency

HRA tax exemptions rule based SHRA inr

Conv tax exemptions is limit based limit for tax exemption is monthly 800 SCNV inr

created IT0581 Housing (HRA / CLA / COA) Info type:selected Accommodation type:Rented and rent amount 7000 and selected check box HRA to BE Tax Exempt .

created IT 0583 and entered conveyance type Own Two wheeler

while executing pc00_m40_f16 section 10 Allowance is wrongly created

Pls help.

Hello Rethi

As regarding the issue reported,

Please make sure that you have this wagetype in the ALGRP table V_T7inA9 and the same in maintained in the table V_T7inT9.

This will then have the correct exemption calculated.

Annexure to Form No.16

This function prints the detailed amounts for the following income and

tax components:

-Emoluments Paid

-Perks

-Income from Other Sources

-Exemptions u/s 10

Each of the above four components are assigned to an Evaluation Class:

1.Emoluments Paid is assigned to the Evaluation Class 6.

2.Perks is assigned to the Evaluation Class 9.

3.Income from Other Sources is assigned to the Evaluation Class 8.

4.Exemptions u/s 10 is assigned to the Evaluation Class 7.

Once the wage types are configured, as mentioned above,the break up will

be available in form 16 annexure.

For please check the Evaluation class 7 for your wagetypes.

Hi

Can u pl elaborate on where you are getting the error.

HRA & conveyance exemption is calculated in payroll driver (PC00_M40_CALC)

pc00_m40_f16 is a report which is used for displaying the form16.

Pl check in the payroll logs whether exemption is getting calculated.

If the exemption is not calcluated that means you will have to check your customizing settings again.

If exemption is calculated in payroll driver but it is not appearing in Form16 then you will have to

map the evalaution classes for the wage types to display the exemption amounts in Form16
