NO BUSINESS AREA CAN BE DETERMINED FOR ITEM 000010

Hi,

I try to post sales order in VA01, i gave item as 10, then material as finished products and 10 kg ,then i press enter it took time and give the error message of "NO BUSINESS AREA CAN BE DETERMINED FOR ITEM 000010" how to solve this one ?

Hi,

try this setting

1. IMG>Enterprise structure>Assignment>Sales and Distribution>Business Area Account Assignment-->Define Rules By Sales Area(Roule 1)

2. Assign Business Area To Plant And Division

Business area assignment is done in

Img-enterprise structure-assignment-sales and distribution-business area account assignment

Similarly it has to be done in

ImgSD-basic functions-account assignment and costing-business area account assignment

May be if you do it in enterprise structure the values will be automatically flow to SD part

Business area is determined by three different rules

1.Sales area

2.Plant and item division

3.Sales org,dist channel and item division
