SRM Org.Man.: purchaser assignment to several purchasing group

Hi SRM Freaks,

I'm currently working with SRM_SERVER 500(SAPKIBKS09) release, and I've some problems in SRM Org Management model (PPOMA_BBP).

In our SRM Org Structure we are maintaining Purchasing Org. separated from Users Org. and we want to assign operational buyers to the different purchasing groups over relationship 'Is Purchaser of' (Sub Type: B491).

But the problem, that we have is that we can only assign a Buyer to one Purch.Grp (1=1 relation), and not having a multiple assignment to several Purch.groups (1=n).

Do you know from where this limitation is coming from !?

Thanks !

Rafi

Hi Sachin,

Thanks for your quick reply ! I like really this SDN Forum ... I know this 'responsibility' Tab in Purch.Group settings. We already use this in our current SRM Org structure.

The question here, is more based on a purchasing structure in which you can define more than one purchasing groups responsible for same plant.

For example, we have an PGrp#1 mainly responsible for Plant#A and an PGrp#2 mainly responsible for Plant#B. But on same time PGrp#2 will have such kind of extended deputy responsibilities for Plant#A. Which means that PGrp#2 should also see the all PO addressed to PGrp#1 in his own SOCO worklist.

Any suggestions ? How I can solve this issue !

I was thinking we can use SType'B491' for this purpose.

Cheers,

Rafi

Rafi

Add the Object ID of the plantA and PlantB in the Responsibility tab of the PGrp#2.

Then add Object ID of PlantA in the Responsibility tab of PGrp#1.

With this all requirements of users of PlantA will be visible in both Pgrp#1 and PGrp#2.

But here the PGrp which is near to the User org unit will be picked in the SC as you will be having only one PGrp can be assigned to SC.

This should solve your issue.

PS:Reward points if it is helpful to you.

Hi Rafi,

If your requirement is to allow a Buyer be responsible for multiple purchase Organizations, then u should be able to use the "Organization Responsibility" attribute for each purchasing groups (buyers). This can be found under the Tab: Responsibility in the Org Structure.
