To Delete BOM

Please let me know how can we set Deletion flag for a BOM.

Hi,

You can set deletion flag for BOM.To do this please go to T.code CS02 and give the BOM No,plant and change NO,then click on header button and put deletion flag in the screen and save .To archive the BOM Go to T.code SARA then maintain the plant records(CS_BOM) and save parameters, start immediately archiving and give the print run option then prepare a job.after finishing the job, T.code CS03 will show the BOM has not in plat level error message shown. Thanks for your answer. Please let me know after putting deletion flag for the BOM in CS02 whether the BOM won't display.

Actually my intention is after putting deletion indicator the BOM should not display.

Do you only want a deletion indicator but keep the deleted bill of material in your production system?

or do you want the BoM physically delete from the database?

Hi,

I need to set the deletion indicator to the BOM. The BOM should be there in Production system, But again the BOM should not be displayed for Posting.

Because most commonly users are choosing the wrong BOM.

where do they choose the wrong BoM? maybe you have to add the deletion indicator to a search help or you hide such BoMs from search help based on deletion indicator. But this means you have to modify your search help in SE11.
