How can i make execution of transactions faster?

Hello,

I need help.

I have installed the ides ecc6.0 ehp4 for training purposes on the laptop with win server 2003 64Bit 8 GB RAM and ext HDD. I work also in the IDES Client 800.

When i work on the system the performance upon execution of first transaction is very slow, but upon execution an another time the same transaction is the performance fast. Upon the first transaction the system compiles also the program.

Is it possible to run a some tool or batch for compiling all programs, so that the transaction executing at first time will be not compiled and this transaction can run fast at first start?

Hi,

You need to run the SGEN tcode which pre-compiles the programs and stores in DB.

Follow steps in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/en/b1/52583c65399965e10000000a114084/content.htm

Also make sure you have enough space free in the database before starting SGEN (approx 3-5GB).
