Hi all,
I am new to HANA and would like to know that will SAP HANA studio support SCD Type 2 Modeling
Regards,
Manoj.
Dear Manoj,
Yes, it's supported 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 SCD's, generally this type SCD's are method of Data transformation, Since it supports BODS, you can implement all this type of SCD's
thanks

Hello,
technically HANA Database does not have any extra support for Slowly Changing Dimensions. HANA Database is working with data and SDC versions/validity intervals can be seen as data.
Therefore if data source is having these data values (in other words data source is having appropriate type of SDC) then you can leverage this SDC type in HANA database by designing models that would reflect this.
In case that data source does not have this information and you expect that HANA will track this - then I am not aware about any such feature in HANA database.
The only hope in this case might be BusinessObjects Data Services replication as this is the only replication offering ETL transformation.
Update:
According to SAP BusinessObjects Data Services Designer Guide page 692 chapter 20.5.4.2 Preserving history - BO Data Services are offering SDC support.
