Valuation area PXXX not yet productive with material ledger

Hi,

I have created new plant and extending an existing material to newly created plant. while extending I am getting a validation message like "Valuation area P099 not yet productive with material ledger".

Can anyone help me, how to handle this validation message??

Hi,

I think the Valuation Area is not activated for your material ledger.

Path SPRO<Img<Controlling<product cost controlling<Actual Costing/Material Ledger<Activate Valuation area for material ledger.

If you already activated Valution area in to Productive Stage.Then go to OMX1 and for your valuation area check the ML activation box.

Hi Chitti,

If you have done proper settings for material ledger activation (in OMX2 & OMX1) for the valuation area assigned to plant, system checks if a particular valuation area is active for material ledger accounting or not.

You might have missed this assignment when you created a new plant. Check if you have assigned this plant to the valuation area P099, and check in OMX1 if this is active for ML and in OMX2 check if you have defined your ML currency types and other settings.
