Authorizations to pull IDOC Metadata from an R3 system

All,

We are moving into production and we need the list of authorizations / Profiles / Roles needed to pull the IDOC metadata from an R3 system in IDX2 in XI as the client wants only the corresponding authorization roles to be assigned to the RFC( SM59) User in the Production System.

Does any one have list of such authroizations? Any help in this is appreciated.

I'm not sure but aren't they the same as for RFC ?

you can also have a look at report:

IDX_GET_CONFIG <--mostly for copying but still

That was an useful hint..

Its going to be a trial and error as the client is very stringent on this. will update once I know if works or not.

hi,

have a look at this note:

Note 837595 - IDoc adapter metadata EDISDEF not maintained

it specifies some authorizations for IDOC

adapter maybe there are all necessary ?

Hi

The user would require SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR role to import idoc meta data into IDX2.
