Hi Experts,

I am working for a project composite manufacturing company. Around 2 year back SAP has implemented and now they require a warehouse management module. Already they have batch managed materials, Please guide me how to process further. Also I need a information when we go for handling unit management and currently they are having kitting process how to map kitting in SAP.

Hello,

WHy you need HU?

Answer is - There are two major reasons to do HU in a plant:

1- Goods issue fdorm plant to Distribution center - You need to bar code a label

2 - Distribution center - Performs GR via RF terminal into external WH system

If you do HU then storage location has to be HU managed which means all materials in storage loc be HU managed.

Hi,

For WM implementation. first need to create organizational levels like ware houise number, storage type storage section storage bin and quant. Q uant is the master data.The material master record need to extend to the WM views.

Need to define put away and picking strategies. Nedd to do seetings for physical inventory.

Means of handling the material is called handling unit. For datatile under standing of HUM, please follow below link.

Creation of KIT depends on two ways. 1.KIT to stock & 2.KIT to order.
