Hello,
I'am using a BICS connection on a Query which use a user exit on the calendar year period.
To have the proper result in Webi i ticked the option :Use Selection of structure Element in the RSRT.
The period is now working properly but when i try to aggregate data in Webi on the Quarter the data could not be refreshed.
I have then desactivate the merging of dimension, overall result is ok by quarter but quick filter does not work anymore.
Thanks for your help
Which Drilling fuctionality are you using ? i mean query drill or standard drill.

Hi,
when you use the BICS connection then the measures from Web Intelligence will be set to database delegated aggregation, means that Web Intelligence will ask BW for the aggregated values.
does you BEx query have a dimension for the quarter ?

Hello Ingo,
The Quarter is in the "Time" Dimension, the same dimension than the Period.
When i check the Bex query i do not faced problem.
When i was using the Integration kit i needed to switch the measure to summaton instead of database delegated in the univers
but in the BICS nothing could be customized

Hi,
Just a little extra information on the topic of database delegation for measures in BICS...
In FP 2.3 the aggregation method of measures with standard aggregation will be set to sum() and not database delegated anymore, this will help solve a lot of these issues.
Off course for real 'smart measures' like ratio's and count distincts, you will still have database delegated,
as they have to be calculated by the database on each datapoint in the report.
Good luck,
Marianne
