I need help regarding the following issue;
I want to post the revaluation of customers and vendors to their accounts so, if, for example, I have a customer balance of 1000 USD that equals 400 EUR(local currency), but at revaluation, it equals 450 EUR, then I want to have after revaluation updated figures as follows 1000 USD and 450 EUR on his account....how to do that ??
Dear expert
You have to maintain in OB08 for these dates at which you are trying to valuate open items..

Hi ,
Go to SAP NetWeaver>General Settings>Currencies-->Enter Exchange Rates
T.code. OB08
Thanks,

Hi Expert,
Maintain the following steps:
Check Exchange Rate Types - T-Code: OB07
Define Translation Ratios for Currency Translation - T-Code: OBBS
Enter Exchange Rates - T-Code: OB08
and Configure the T-Code: OBA1, with respect to KDF and provide your sundry creditors account and sundry debtors account without providing currency and provide Exchange rate loss/gain accounts.

SAP
Check the below and run FAGL_FC_VAL
1. OB08 - FX Rates are defined
2. Valuation area updated with correct FX Rate for valuation - SPRO
3. OBA1 - GL Accounts
Then try to run a scenarion in QAS and do it in PROD
Thanks

I am sorry not to explain it right, what I mean is that I want to make the account determination for revaluation the customer or vendor itself instead of the GLs for revaluation
Fine mate,
but procedure is same
OBA1 - KDF - You need to define the GL Accounts to be posted for Realized and Unrealized Gains and Losses.
OB08 - Exchange rates
FAGL_FC_VAL - Run this for required Vendors and Customers.
Do it in Quality first
Hope it helps
Thanks
Hi Basem,
As per SAP standard revaluation of customer and vendor should be posted to revaluation gain and loss account at the end of month/year and the same will be reverted back during the next period.
The gain or loss in due to exchange rate difference cannot be posted to the respective customer or vendor account.
Hope it helps

Hi Expert,
I have faced the same issue with my client, but where in SAP there is no solution to maintain revaluation according to the Customer and Vendor..

SAP
Hi,
If you go to OB09 screen system first asks you to enter chart of account.
You'll find GL accounts only from a chart of account and not sub ledgers.
Also unrealized gains/losses you shouldn't post to customer/vendor accounts directly because they are not responsible fro them.
