Database Server Not Found Error

Hi,

I am trying to use the Query Builder in Dashboards 4.1 to build a query to a Universe that sits on top of a Sybase IQ DB. Within Information Design Tool, where the Universe was built, I can query the DB fine and see the results as expected. When I try to run the same query in Dashboards I get the following error:

Request Processing Failed (XLS 000009)

Request Processing Failed (XLS 000009) []

<com.businessobjects.dsl.commons.exception.NestedException;

[Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere] Database Server not found>

Does anyone have any idea what is going on? I've been racking my brain over this for a few days and have yet to find a solution.

Thanks for your help!

Jeff

Hi Jeff! How are you?

Could you fix this situation? Can you share please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jeff,

Just verify if you have set the enviornment variables:

1. Add "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects

Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86" to the PATH environment variables on your

Windows 7 client machine.

2. Reboot the machine once and then test the issue.

Also, let me know if your Dashboard Designer tool is on a different machine.

Hi,

I have the same problem. And I do that yu are saying but the problem persists.

There is anything else that I can do?

Thanks

Hi all! Just to say that I've resolved the problem adding an ODBC System DNS, instead of User DNS.
