Dear friends,
Can you suggest solution for changing the time stamp that comes when we write long text of description for maintenance notification( log line in maintenance notification). The time stamp is reflecting the server time. The requirement is to reflect the user time in the time stamp of logline. The difference between server time and user time is around 10 .30 hrs and so the users are not comfortable with the server time reflecting in the logline time stamp.
Thanks

Hi Arun,
As per the Standard SAP either you can Stamp the time in the long text or if you dont need, you can remove it.
The System take the time of your Operatinf System(OS), as pe rmy knowledge you need to change the Time in the OS to the Clients Timing, then only the client location Timing can be seen.
Else you can remove the Time Stamping from there as guided in the above thread.
Hope it helps you.

Under Maintenance Processing, go to Notification Types and click on the node 'Define Long Text Control for Notification Types'. Uncheck the option 'Log Line' for that particular notification type, you won't get the time stamps.

I donu2019t think there is any standard way to do this.
You will need to update code on notification create/save and use 'Convert' methods to update timestamp. (CONVERT TIME STAMP). This should convert UTC to local time from user profile. You may want to add prefix 'Local time - ' to your timestamp as well.
