Hi Chris - There are numerous benefits. One of the biggest is data no longer needs to persist in infocubes before the data goes to BWA, which will significantly cut down on load time and DASD. Additionally, data from DSOs can go directly to BWA. That is not the case prior to BW 7.30 and BWA 7.20. There are also new features which will enhance the user experience from a query perspective, F4 Value help, as well as exception aggregation (min, max, sum, count distinct, etc) are pushed into the BWA engine, speeding up query performance. Finally, BW workspaces are delivered. Workspaces provide a dedicated area in a BW system where new models can be created based on central BW and local data (flat files, query results, etc.) within minutes or hours. The workspaces are a quick way for IT to provide great value to the business without the need of the business user's request landing at the bottom of IT's "to do" list.

These are only a few of the benefits. An exhaustive list can be found here, [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/304444f7-e02d-2d10-9c97-d5e3ecf09882?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true]

I've also recently created a blog that talks in more detail about BW 7.30 and BWA 7.20 you might find interesting, [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/27902] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken];

Regardless your BW 7.3 upgrade, another major benefit of going to BWA 7.2 is to be able to use Explorer Accelerated Version ( yes you need an explorer blade but it should be less than 50K installed nowadays)
